UNIFEM ( United Nations Development Fund for Women ) – Photography Exhibition and Fund Raising, Senayan City, 25 December 2007

I love photography exhibition, it is my long time obsession……. learning photography. And I support gender equality. This exhibition is about female migrant labours… and how their rights are ignored in male dominant world. I would love to work in an NGO or UN that support gender equalities…… I know what it’s like being judge by your looks rather than your performance. I’ve been there.

INBOX Kuota 2007 : National Gallery, Jakarta, 21 December 2007

Held by Langgeng Gallery, Magelang, Central Java and Langgeng Icon Gallery, Jakarta. Too bad this exhibition doesn’t issue a catalog. I love installation art, eventhough it’s not as commercial as paintings.

Hit and run ??? No, this is just an interesting art piece which I forgot who the artist was.

Looks like I’m part of the art object myself.

This is the Poem of Blood, by Ugo Untoro. These ‘horses’ were accompanied by a video showing horse slaughters in Yogya, where they kill horses to make satay……. Can you believe horse satay does exists.

I didn’t enter the museum because it was close at night, but it was an impressive one as you can see it from the architecture. I went there with a group of Dermatologists.

This National Art Museum is huge….. and has quite impressive art pieces, paintings, sculptures and also a range of contemporary artworks from around the world especially from local and Spanish artists.

I forgot what it was, but it was certainly interesting piece of art.

I gave a catalog of Museum Rudana’s latest painting Exhibition entitled Modern Indonesian Masters to MALBA as shown here. My boss is the founder of Museum Rudana and I hope he’s proud of it.

This is not an Indonesian horse, este es uno cabajo de Argentino.This is one of the horse which gaucho ( Argentinian cowboy ) rides in the Fiesta Gaucho Fiesta, where the gauchos show their horseback riding abilities in Estancia Santa Susana, an hour drive from Buenos Aires.

It was the first time ever I touched a dolphin and this cutie was pink. I’ve been having a dream to have a dolphin pet since I saw the flipper show when I was a kid.

Caversham Wildlife Park – Perth, 29 September 2006

I took the trip to this National Park on my way to Pinacles Desert, 7 hours north from Perth

This is a wombat, isn’t she adorable ? Well, actually she was sleepy at that time, cause the range woke her up for picture session. She weighted 28 kgs and warning, don’t touch her head, she might bit you.

This kangaroo was soo tame, that I took time to feed it.

Koala is my favorite animal, too bad I couldn’t touch it this time. I had a pic back in 1996, while I took picture holding a koala.

ARGENTINA- a dream that finally came true

My dream to visit Argentina finally came true when I got a chance to accompany a group of Dermatologists to attend World Dermatology Congress ( WCD ) on 29 Sep – 9 Oct 2007, where I also got a chance to visit Rio for the second time. This is my pic with mi amigo ‘Maradona’ in Caminito district. Well, his looks brings him fortune that he’s enable to make use of it for making money. His main job is becoming a ‘Maradona’. 10 pesos, pro favor !! That equals to USD 3.00,- folks !!

Madero Tango in Puerto Madero area is a great place area to watch tango dance after cena ( dinner ). The cost of USD 75 was actually worth every penny. Food was great, and the stages were scattered over the dining areas. You might not know that there’s a stage up there. The dance was passionate and I watched it with dr. Aida ( sat next to me ), and dr. Tjut Nurul Alam ( with glasses ), Mrs. Endang Harsono and dr. Harsono. Btw, Puerto Madero is a bayside area, which is very romantic at night time. Too bad, I didn’t come with my love one.

Riding carriage in Argentina ? This was something we joked around cause we traveled far way to Argentina to ride carriage. Sitting next to me was Mrs. Endang Harsono, while Mrs.Soenarto waved her hand. It was in Estancia Santa Susana.

THE POWER OF RAGE

There’s a huge power coming out of us when we are in rage. In my case, I can feel my blood’s boiling. My head is spinning. I hardly can breath. Meditation does help. But sometimes, I simply forgot to calm myself down. This huge power can drive us into doing something destructively, either to ourselves or others, or both. So, the best way, is to channel it into setting your goal. I find it easier to set a clear goal when I’m mad, because, I know, there’s no turning back. No matter what it takes, I’m gonna do it. If someone tunrs you down, or hurt your feelings, this is the best time to prove it to him / her, that he / she’s wrong. So start taking action.
